Mr. Pat McCarthy VIth Dan will be conducting a special self-defence
mini-seminar on Monday 7th February 2005.

As well as his 6th Degree in Taekwon-do, Mr. McCarthy is an expert in Aikido
and Jiujitsu who has given self-defence classes to students all over the
world. The session will focus on traditional self-defence as well as
holding, throwing and grappling.

Mr. Mike Morningstar VIth Degree Chairman of the ITF Technical Committee and Mr. Chris Howes IVth Degree Instructor and Producer of the ITF Masters Class DVD Series will be traveling through Western Canada visiting several TAC member clubs to conduct Technical Seminars. The tour will begin in Calgary, AB at Lightning Family Martial Arts www.lightningtkd.com and continue through British Columbia visiting Cascade Taekwon-Do in Merritt, British Columbia and Family Taekwon-Do in Prince George, BC and continuing back to Alberta to finish the tour in Edmonton, AB at Orion Taekwon-Do.

Master Choi Jung Hwa will be conducting an International Instructors Course over 3 days for ITF practitioners. For those students (below Red Belt) who can not participate in the course. We would like to inform you that you are welcome to join us at the Celebration Banquet Saturday evening April 9, 2005 ($60 USD) to join in the celebration with all our TKD brothers and sisters. The Taekwon-Do Association of Canada (TAC) is proud to announce the 2nd CanAm Taekwon-Do Championships, to be held on Saturday June 4th, 2005 in Oakville, Ontario CANADA.

Sheridan College Athletic Facility will be the venue for this ITF Taekwon-Do Championship that will bring competitors from accross Canada, USA and Puerto Rico together for an exciting day of competition.

Special guest of honor will be the President of the ITF, Master Choi Jung Hwa as well as many other Masters and instructors.

On June 11th and June 12th 2005 the ITF – National Association Germany will host the 3rd official German Open in Wetzlar, Germany. Members regardles of affiliation are welcomed to this international event. On June 11th the tournament will be open for colour belts only. On June 12th the black belts will compete. Categories will be in Sparring, Tul, Team – Tul and Team – Sparring. The ITF rules will be used.
